Funny article in USA Today on Sunday. A question about where the grand bargaineer is, Joe Biden.
Apparently, he has been known to help reach across the aisle and strike deals with Republicans and Democrats in past crises in the last several years of the occupation.
So, now the question is, where is Biden. We have seen Obama, demonizing anyone who doesn't agree with him, John Boehner and Eric Cantor, House leadership as well as Mitch McConnell, Senate leadership trying to talk and bargain. Even Harry Reid, delusional man that he is, has been high profile.
But Biden is MIA. Even John McCain has joked about his notable absence-'Maybe we need to get Joe Biden out of the witness protection program". Various reasons abound, most popular being the democratic and liberal leadership believing he gave away the farm on numerous past occasions. So, we are stuck with adolescents throwing grenades at each other. Surprising that Biden looks like the adult in these situations.
As the apocalypse approaches and Obama continues to set fire to our country with his abrasive, taunting, whiny rhetoric and his refusal to step up and lead, what is a meat lover to do? Fill up the pantry, the gas tank, and take out stacks of cash.
I have a simpler reason why Biden is absent. Remember, all non essential staff have been furloughed.

Furloughed Furry Helpers
Greetings fellow Meat Lovers! Happy Sunday!
I have been reading diligently the many reports of various furlough tragedies. WWII vets denied access to their monuments, elderly couples displaced out of their homes which sit on Federal land, the closing of the Statue of Liberty-which earlier this week denied access to a terminally ill girl who had designated a visit as part of her bucket list. All egregious and unneccesary acts given President Obama has approved the continued maintenance of FLOTUS's website "Let's Move" while the cemetery in Normandy, France is closed, though enterprising visitors are simply scaling walls and storming beach fronts to enter. As our government shutdown extends into day 13, things are just as I surmised, Republicans supplied the gasoline, but Obama brought the matches.
Yes, as this continues Republicans look more and more the villains but I promise, Obama does NOT come out of this unscathed, no matter how hard MSNBC and Harry Reid try to protect him. Gentle reminder, Obama is the man who negotiated with Syria and Iran, but refuses to talk with his own congress. Brilliant. His argument that the debt ceiling and Obamacare should not be intertwined is bullocks. Remember, Obamacare was passed under 'reconciliation' a rarely used legislative process ONLY reserved for budget and financial laws.
Here is another fun tale of woe from the national furlough crisis:
Members of the National Capital Therapy Dogs Inc. a VOLUNTEER NONPROFIT organization have been banned, or "furloughed' from their jobs until further notice. The National Capital Therapy Dogs supply therapy animals to visit ill children who are participants in various clinical trials at the NIH hospital and clinical center in Washington DC. According to the NIH, the government shutdown has resulted in 'non essential staff' being furloughed.
Keep in mind, this is a non profit organization, funded by volunteers, designed to help sick children spend time with pets. I cannot imagine a more heart rending story. A little surprised this isn't on FLOTUS's website.
But it did make the WSJ Washington Wire:

It's the new millenium, stupid
Hello carnivores, it is close to 3 years since my last post and I hope I haven't lost your faith.
I have been in mourning since November 2012 and trying to regain strength. Just when I thought conservatives had momentum again, here we are in the middle of a government shutdown and Obama has all the aces. He is playing like it this the last game of Monopoly, the last pictionary or bingo card of the night. It's as if he told his maniacal staff, "They want to shut down the government, then I will help them TORCH it!"
In my humble opinion Obama, the Congress and Senate are all guilty of burning down the house. Of course Obama has manipulated the press and public opinion to favor him and vilify the Republicans. Of course it is poor leadership to refuse any negotiations. But let's face it, the Republicans have made it easy for Obama. Republicans choosing to try and kill Obamacare as if they are Captain Ahab searching for that damn wale has brought us all right down to the barbed wire fence, staring back at the whites of each others' eyes, daring the other side to blink.
Thinking back to 2012 and a Palm Beach Republican dinner and book signing for Laura Ingraham that I attended with my father, we sat at a table with several other older, very wealthy Republican donors. Talk centered around Mitt Romney and the possible vice presidential running mates he could choose. Mitch Daniels of Indiana, Rob Portman of Ohio. Chris Christie, pre Superstorm Sandy was a front runner. Laura Ingraham favored Susana Martinez, governor of New Mexico due to her support of immigration reform, and stances on social issues.
Marco Rubio came up as well, and since we were in Florida, was a favored choice at the table. I took heart that this older, white, wealthy crowd was interested in a more diverse mix of Republicans. Until one of the members of our table asked bluntly if Marco Rubio was "an American". That one comment sealed the deal, along with the fact that no other at the table, aside from myself and Dad, knew the answer.
One more anecdote. I knew it was all over for Mitt the day I stood at a light waving a Romney sign, one month before the election, with a group of fervent conservatives who wanted what is best for America. I mentioned my support of gay conservatives to the group and how I had recently joined GOProud, a gay conservative group in DC who was stumping for Mitt Romney. The reaction was immediate and swift: disdain and suspicion, and if I had stayed long enough, probably a lecture.
To get ahead and stay relevant conservatives, and YES, the GOP are going to have to let go of the prejudices on race, sexual orientation and other social issues. How many more male republicans are going to keep opening their mouths about the female anatomy and abortion? If you don't have a uterus or ovaries, you don't get an opinion! Let's move on from the preaching and condescending, the judgmental attitudes. Lets embrace people who believe the same things we do-smaller, smart government that is accountable to the people, regardless of who they love or want to marry.
Providing EVERYONE with the opportunities to be successful instead of taking from the successful and giving to the ones who are not.
GOProud is on a bus tour of colleges and cities to promote their organization. Check out their website, read their views on policies and issues. This is a great organization that NEEDS to be a bigger part of our party. We will succeed if we change and embrace.

The Great Communicator?
Ronald Reagan once said:
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free"
Mr. Reagan was the true great communicator, and he believed in America as a great country, no, the greatest country ever to exist on earth.
Our current President, Mr. Obama believes otherwise. A fact transparently evident when he went on his apology tour around the world in 8 days, bowing and scraping to every neo-socialist european and pseudo-terrorist regime he could find.
But Mr. Obama can't help himself. As I have said before, narcissism will kill. A narcissist needs everyone's approval, his self esteem is rooted in what others think of him.
This explains how Mr. Obama can continue to be so condescending to the American people. Take for instance, his most recent interview for CBS 60 minutes, which is airing this Sunday, while Mr. Obama is on his 10 day Asian tour:
When CBS journalist Steve Kroft asked if Mr. Obama had lost his mojo, he responded:
"You know, I think that over the course of two years we were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that we stopped paying attention to the fact that leadership isn't just legislation. That it's a matter of persuading people."
When asked about the midterm elections and whether they were a mandate or repudiation of his policies, Mr. Obama blamed his lack of communicating to the American people about his legislation. Right, communication. Not the fact that what he was communicating was a government takeover of banks, healthcare, business and people's lives.
Once again, his message is the American people are just not smart enough to appreciate Mr. Obama's brain and his policies. They just aren't bright enough to figure out what is good for them. So Obama has to do it for them. Once again, Mr. Obama is not able to acknowledge that he made a mistake with policies or the economic recovery.
No, he only made the error in not explaining his fantastic policies to us without a white board and flashcards.
So, it is not his fault but ours, we are just too dumb.
Ah, Americans, not only morbidly obese and desperately needing Michelle Obama to save us from McDonalds, but intellectually challenged as well.
As Mr. Obama embarks on his ten day trip to Asia, presumably to apologize again and offer to sell them more of our debt, I leave you Mr. Ronald Reagan to remind us what government is meant to be, compared to what it has become under our supposed great communicator, Mr. Obama.

End of the Occupation!
Fellow beef and Cheese eaters, rejoice-the end of the occupation has come.
I am eagerly awaiting the mother ship to pick up Obama, it should be here soon!
Of course, there have been some disappointments, particularly the loss of Nevada.
Nevada relapsed into its old gambling addiction by re-seating Harry Reid. What a shame that Reid couldn't win an election without help from corruption, unions and dirty tricks.
Overall though, a certain relief seems to have settled over the nation, like a comforting and cool wind. There is a diminished level of anxiety. People appear to be breathing easier with fewer chest pains and clammy palms. Why, my carnivorous friends?
Because there is less anxiety that Prickly Pear and his progressive socialist friends are not driving us off the cliff in that famous car of theirs, at least not yet. There is comfort in the knowledge that there are still some folks who are like-minded, believe in smaller government and better economic policies other than the hand-basket to hell spending we have seen over two years.
Watching clips from today's press conference, Obama looks like he is in physical pain, the face is sour, mouth turned down, perhaps the best expression of constipation I have seen in a while. His speech was all platitudes though.
This man's temperament and personality makeup is absolutely NOT capable of change or admission of error.
Remember, carnivores, narcissism is a lethal disease. Obama has been wounded, only he is a wounded narcissist. He is like a fox in a trap, with its leg broken. The only action Obama and that fox are capable of is a snapping attack.
Watch out for those teeth. Yikes!

Put your Man Pants on!
Ed Rendell, Governor of Pennsylvania (D) called tea party activists "wackos" who are trying to take over the Republican Party.
Shockingly, those same wackos keep voting their tea party candidates into the primaries over traditional old school GOP incumbents.
Now, I am underwhelmed by Christine O'Donnell (R) Delaware. Particularly after I saw her interviewed by Hannity on Fox. She told Hannity that her primary opponent, Mike Castle, had "exasperated" the race for the republican primary by participating in ugly name calling and character defamation. Well, that last part I put in but Ms. O'Donnell used the "exasperated" comment. To add to the insult, her general demeanor was immature and unschooled.
I understand why Democrats threw a toga party last Tuesday night. The GOP has pretty much lost that Senate seat.
Latest Rasmussen poll (September 21, 2010) shows Ms. O'Donnell is 15 points behind Mr. Coons, her opponent in the Delaware Senate Race.
Karl Rove and his ilk have been on various talk shows invoking Bill Buckley, essentially calling O'Donnell an nonviable conservative candidate. Accusations against her range from lying to witchcraft and Mike Castle has gracelessly refused to support her, but has time to take calls from Mr. Smooth.
So, Ms. O'Donnell is fighting unfair liberal spin and toxic opponents. Sarah Palin can tell you how that feels. But imagine how delighted I was to uncover this little nugget:
O'Donnell said to her opponent Mike Castle, who was whining about dirty politics, in a radio interview during the primary campaign-"Mike this is not a bake off, get your man pants on!"
Fantastic. Love it. Sabrina the teenage witch sounds feisty. Let's hope she can get to the end with a win. As for the rest of the political world, I can think of a few others who should "put their Man Pants"
1 Mr. Smooth: What a Prickly Pear. Even his "dedicated supporters" are fed up!

2 Eric Jotkoff Communications Director of the Florida Democratic Party.
Ron Klein, (D) Congress, sent out a mailer with his opponent's (Allen West (R) ) social security number CLEARLY visible, then called it a slip. It all started with a personal attack on a remote tax lein which Mr. West( a retired Lt Colonel of the US Army) paid off several years ago.
But tackily enough, Mr. Klein put the social security number of both Mr. West AND his wife on the mailer. And Eric Jotkoff responded to the criticisms by calling Mr. West "crazy". Nice.
3 The Senate: Maybe you didn't quite catch the late Friday announcement last week of Obama's "appointment" of Harvard economist Elizabeth Warren to the new "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau". Pay attention though, she wasn't confirmed by the Senate. Obama KNEW she wouldn't pass. So in a very ballsy way, he appointed her as a "special assistant" to him to avoid a nasty fight. And to dodge pesky legal issues of an "imperial" appointment, Mr. Smooth made her a "special advisor" to Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary. I am not making this stuff up.
The Senate has their panties in a wad over this. Maybe they should just put their man ones on.
