Furloughed Furry Helpers

Greetings fellow Meat Lovers! Happy Sunday!
I have been reading diligently the many reports of various furlough tragedies. WWII vets denied access to their monuments, elderly couples displaced out of their homes which sit on Federal land, the closing of the Statue of Liberty-which earlier this week denied access to a terminally ill girl who had designated a visit as part of her bucket list.  All egregious and unneccesary acts given President Obama has approved the continued maintenance of FLOTUS's website "Let's Move" while the cemetery in Normandy, France is closed, though enterprising visitors are simply scaling walls and storming beach fronts to enter.  As our government shutdown extends into day 13, things are just as I surmised, Republicans supplied the gasoline, but Obama brought the matches.
Yes, as this continues Republicans look more and more the villains but I promise, Obama does NOT come out of this unscathed, no matter how hard MSNBC and Harry Reid try to protect him. Gentle reminder, Obama is the man who negotiated with Syria and Iran, but refuses to talk with his own congress. Brilliant. His argument that the debt ceiling and Obamacare should not be intertwined is bullocks. Remember, Obamacare was passed under 'reconciliation' a rarely used legislative process ONLY reserved for budget and financial laws.

Here is another fun tale of woe from the national furlough crisis:
Members of the National Capital Therapy Dogs Inc. a VOLUNTEER NONPROFIT organization  have been banned, or "furloughed' from their jobs until further notice. The National Capital Therapy Dogs supply therapy animals to visit ill children who are participants in various clinical trials at the NIH hospital and clinical center in Washington DC. According to the NIH, the government shutdown has resulted in 'non essential staff' being furloughed.
Keep in mind, this is a non profit organization, funded by volunteers, designed to help sick children spend time with pets. I cannot imagine a more heart rending story. A little surprised this isn't on FLOTUS's website.

But it did make the WSJ Washington Wire:

Bacon, eggs and hash browns for breakfast. Savory! Thank you Mr. Cow.
