Ed Rendell, Governor of Pennsylvania (D) called tea party activists "wackos" who are trying to take over the Republican Party.
Shockingly, those same wackos keep voting their tea party candidates into the primaries over traditional old school GOP incumbents.
Now, I am underwhelmed by Christine O'Donnell (R) Delaware. Particularly after I saw her interviewed by Hannity on Fox. She told Hannity that her primary opponent, Mike Castle, had "exasperated" the race for the republican primary by participating in ugly name calling and character defamation. Well, that last part I put in but Ms. O'Donnell used the "exasperated" comment. To add to the insult, her general demeanor was immature and unschooled.
I understand why Democrats threw a toga party last Tuesday night. The GOP has pretty much lost that Senate seat.
Latest Rasmussen poll (September 21, 2010) shows Ms. O'Donnell is 15 points behind Mr. Coons, her opponent in the Delaware Senate Race.
Karl Rove and his ilk have been on various talk shows invoking Bill Buckley, essentially calling O'Donnell an nonviable conservative candidate. Accusations against her range from lying to witchcraft and Mike Castle has gracelessly refused to support her, but has time to take calls from Mr. Smooth.
So, Ms. O'Donnell is fighting unfair liberal spin and toxic opponents. Sarah Palin can tell you how that feels. But imagine how delighted I was to uncover this little nugget:
O'Donnell said to her opponent Mike Castle, who was whining about dirty politics, in a radio interview during the primary campaign-"Mike this is not a bake off, get your man pants on!"
Fantastic. Love it. Sabrina the teenage witch sounds feisty. Let's hope she can get to the end with a win. As for the rest of the political world, I can think of a few others who should "put their Man Pants"
1 Mr. Smooth: What a Prickly Pear. Even his "dedicated supporters" are fed up!
(watch him laugh at her)
2 Eric Jotkoff Communications Director of the Florida Democratic Party.
Ron Klein, (D) Congress, sent out a mailer with his opponent's (Allen West (R) ) social security number CLEARLY visible, then called it a slip. It all started with a personal attack on a remote tax lein which Mr. West( a retired Lt Colonel of the US Army) paid off several years ago.
But tackily enough, Mr. Klein put the social security number of both Mr. West AND his wife on the mailer. And Eric Jotkoff responded to the criticisms by calling Mr. West "crazy". Nice.
3 The Senate: Maybe you didn't quite catch the late Friday announcement last week of Obama's "appointment" of Harvard economist Elizabeth Warren to the new "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau". Pay attention though, she wasn't confirmed by the Senate. Obama KNEW she wouldn't pass. So in a very ballsy way, he appointed her as a "special assistant" to him to avoid a nasty fight. And to dodge pesky legal issues of an "imperial" appointment, Mr. Smooth made her a "special advisor" to Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary. I am not making this stuff up.
The Senate has their panties in a wad over this. Maybe they should just put their man ones on.
Chicken burrito for breakfast.
Thank you Mr. Cow
