Ed Rendell, Governor of Pennsylvania (D) called tea party activists "wackos" who are trying to take over the Republican Party.
Shockingly, those same wackos keep voting their tea party candidates into the primaries over traditional old school GOP incumbents.
Now, I am underwhelmed by Christine O'Donnell (R) Delaware. Particularly after I saw her interviewed by Hannity on Fox. She told Hannity that her primary opponent, Mike Castle, had "exasperated" the race for the republican primary by participating in ugly name calling and character defamation. Well, that last part I put in but Ms. O'Donnell used the "exasperated" comment. To add to the insult, her general demeanor was immature and unschooled.
I understand why Democrats threw a toga party last Tuesday night. The GOP has pretty much lost that Senate seat.
Latest Rasmussen poll (September 21, 2010) shows Ms. O'Donnell is 15 points behind Mr. Coons, her opponent in the Delaware Senate Race.
Karl Rove and his ilk have been on various talk shows invoking Bill Buckley, essentially calling O'Donnell an nonviable conservative candidate. Accusations against her range from lying to witchcraft and Mike Castle has gracelessly refused to support her, but has time to take calls from Mr. Smooth.
So, Ms. O'Donnell is fighting unfair liberal spin and toxic opponents. Sarah Palin can tell you how that feels. But imagine how delighted I was to uncover this little nugget:
O'Donnell said to her opponent Mike Castle, who was whining about dirty politics, in a radio interview during the primary campaign-"Mike this is not a bake off, get your man pants on!"
Fantastic. Love it. Sabrina the teenage witch sounds feisty. Let's hope she can get to the end with a win. As for the rest of the political world, I can think of a few others who should "put their Man Pants"
1 Mr. Smooth: What a Prickly Pear. Even his "dedicated supporters" are fed up!
(watch him laugh at her)
2 Eric Jotkoff Communications Director of the Florida Democratic Party.
Ron Klein, (D) Congress, sent out a mailer with his opponent's (Allen West (R) ) social security number CLEARLY visible, then called it a slip. It all started with a personal attack on a remote tax lein which Mr. West( a retired Lt Colonel of the US Army) paid off several years ago.
But tackily enough, Mr. Klein put the social security number of both Mr. West AND his wife on the mailer. And Eric Jotkoff responded to the criticisms by calling Mr. West "crazy". Nice.
3 The Senate: Maybe you didn't quite catch the late Friday announcement last week of Obama's "appointment" of Harvard economist Elizabeth Warren to the new "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau". Pay attention though, she wasn't confirmed by the Senate. Obama KNEW she wouldn't pass. So in a very ballsy way, he appointed her as a "special assistant" to him to avoid a nasty fight. And to dodge pesky legal issues of an "imperial" appointment, Mr. Smooth made her a "special advisor" to Tim Geithner, Treasury Secretary. I am not making this stuff up.
The Senate has their panties in a wad over this. Maybe they should just put their man ones on.

Just Too Raw
Fox News had a very powerful 9/11 special on this year and all the news outlets are crowing about how on this anniversary America is "divided" and contentious, mainly because of the Ground Zero Mosque, the Florida pastor who has threatened to burn the Quran and the general unrest and fear that is pervasive.
I can't help but observe two main facts:
First Observation: There is an awful lot of name calling going on. The pastor, Terry Jones, in Florida is calling muslims devil worshippers. National news commentators are calling Jones a "crackpot" and "nutjob".
Second observation: The 9/11 special was very hard to watch and reminded me of the immense fear we all had, the horror of watching people jump from those towers in a desperate attempt to escape, the passengers who fought back on United 93.
Days after we hung American flags, clung to each other, took comfort in George W Bush's bullhorn promise that "the people who knocked buildings down will hear all of us soon".
I think we have forgotten that 9/11 was a terrible trauma for us, for the people who lost their families. Americans and New Yorkers are not racist or islamaphobic. As Americans, we have always fought for the rights of others to voice and practice their own beliefs. That is what makes this country the best country in the world.
The main problem is this is all too too raw for us. Memories are too sharp, terror still lurks. The children of 9/11 are still children, if only for a few more reading of the names. Nearly 3000 people died there. Workers are still finding shoes, wallets, toys. The smell is unmistakable and unforgetttable.
It just isn't that simple. It just isn't about a mosque or a church or a skating rink.
If Imam Rauf wants to show his compassion, tolerance and sensitivity and bring people together, he would donate that land to NYC for a park or memorial. He would back off on a fight that is causing Americans, all Americans, to be re-traumatized.
And that would be the right thing to do.

Why he can't change his mind
Obama is taking a beating. Even his own party is turning on him as several house and senate democrats have advocated extending the Bush 2003 Tax Cuts.
Senator Ron Wyden, D-Oregon has turned on Barack's key political victory of ObamaCare, for which he voted WSJ Link
Harvard economist Robert Barro estimates that our unemployment rate would be closer to 6.8% if unemployment benefits would not have been extended 99 weeks. YES 99 weeks! WSJ Link
A Rasmussen telephone poll conducted in August 2010 indicates that 54% of Americans believe that the Bush 2003 tax cuts should be extended amid the worst recession in 80 years.
So, with all the evidence indicating we are headed in the wrong direction and the public turning against Mr. Smooth, why can't he just say, "Hey Folks maybe we should try another path?" Just admitting he could have made a mistake might make him seem less like Robby the Robot and more of a human being.
Here is my take ObamaManiacs. He is a pure narcissist. Charles Krauthammer, Fox News Contributor, said it last week. And Mr. Krauthammer is at least qualified to make this assessment, he is a physician and a board certified, Harvard trained psychiatrist.
I like this. It kind of explains a lot actually and makes Mr. Smooth a bit of a sympathetic creature.
Definition of Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Narcissistic Personality Disorder Link
Here is my Obama subtype:
* fanatic type - including paranoid features. A severely narcissistically wounded individual, usually with major paranoid tendencies who holds onto an illusion of omnipotence. These people are fighting the reality of their insignificance and lost value and are trying to re-establish their self-esteem through grandiose fantasies and self-reinforcement. When not able to gain recognition of support from others, they take on the role of a heroic or worshiped person with a grandiose mission.
So here we are at the mercy of an individual with a dysfunctional and fractured childhood, eccentric parents and grandparents. An individual who would best be served by some couch time.
Think about it.

Bring it !
Hi Fellow Meat Lovers. It has been a busy week for Obamacare.
Three different physicians in the media have attacked it.
1 Dr. Hal Scherz, pediatric urologist, drafted a Dear Patient letter asking to repeal ObamaCare (see Conservative Carnivore blog from August 31, 2010)
2 Dr. Fred Ferlic, an orthopedic surgeon from South Bend, Indiana who voted for Obama in 2008, told Time Magazine he thinks Obama is taking the country down the wrong path: "He's trying to Europeanize us, and the Europeans are going the other way," continues Ferlic, a former Democratic campaign donor who plans to vote Republican this year. "The entire American spirit is being broken."

3 And a final blow, right from Mr. Smooth's own hometown of Chicago.
Dr. William DeJean, a Chicago dentist, has crafted the first Hillary for 2012 advertisement. The Blaze Link
This could be fun! Like celebrity fight club. As I said before, they should paperview the news.
And for those with Buyers Remorse, see below.
