Obamacare=Disaster

Have you seen the latest Wall Street Journal Op/Ed piece on Obamacare?

A very interesting piece by a Pediatric Urologist and Faculty of Emory University Medical School.
He advocates a Dear Patient Letter that doctors can post in their waiting room, asking for the repeal of Obamacare.

The Wall Street Journal

Because the economy and news about the economy is so bad, many have probably missed the controversy over the federal government spending $750,000 (yes, three quarters of a million) on TV ads with Andy Griffith pushing Obamacare as a great piece of legislation. Five US senators have asked for an investigation into this use of federal funds for political and campaign gains.
But I bet you haven't heard about this. Obama, Harry and Nancy don't want you to hear about this.

Either way, Obamacare remains as unpopular now as when it was crammed down our throats 6 months ago.

Offense vs Defense

Obama is back from Vacay and blaming Republicans in the Senate for obstructing a small business bill.

Forget that the Senate and House are on summer break and no bills are being considered.

Forget that the President continues to blame Republicans and George W Bush for all his problems; After 18 months these are all his. And no, he did not "inherit" these problems-remember he wanted to be President!

Forget that the President and Senate and House democrats have consistently rejected and shut out all debate from Republicans-"It's our way or the Highway!"

You can't have it both ways-Democrats own all the legislation that they have forced down the American throats since January 19, 2009.

So why don't we start playing offense. Start going after Pelosi, Reid and Obama instead of waiting for them to clobber us again

Mean Girls

Ever wonder what our country would be like had Hillary Clinton won back in 2008?

I am not a Hillary Fan by any stretch. The caricature of her in the Saturday Night Live skit says it all-"shrew, harpie". But after her election bid was abandoned by the hoards of feminists across the country, I began to feel for her.

I felt sorry about how tired she always looked, bags and dark circles.
Her clothes were always a little frumpy, with the too short pant suits revealing stumps of ankle.
Her hair, never cover girl polished, looked even more helmet like then ever.
And after New Hampshire, she developed a crazy, desperate look in her eyes.

When Mr. Smooth moved in and started picking off primaries, with his reed thin look, cool demeanor and easy verbal cadence, how could our girl compete? Any woman embarrassed by the popular guy in high school; the football player, the class president, the cute guy in Algebra who blew her off, any woman who had "been there" understood Hillary at that moment.

And Sarah Palin, who played head cheerleader to Hillary's president of the math club, how could Hillary compete with her? Now, I know that Ms. Palin's political abilities are still up for debate, thanks to our impartial media, but the woman is gorgeous and smart-what a combo!!!

Back to my question, what would our country be like if Hillary had won?
At least we knew where she stood on issues. At least we knew she could make a decision.
As for the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, check out another hot, smart chick's opinion; Ms. Peggy Noonan's Wall Street Journal op/ed from Saturday:

"The president is overexposed, yet on some level the picture is blurry. He's in your face on TV, but you still don't fully get him. People categorize him in political terms: "He's a socialist," "He's a pragmatic progressive." But beyond that disagreement, things get murky. When you think about his domestic political decisions, it's hard to tell if he's playing a higher game or a clueless game. Is he playing three-dimensional chess, or is he simply out of his depth? "

So what am I saying fellow meat lovers? That real life is just an extension of high school? Better the devil you know? Be careful what you hope for?

The Recovery to Nowhere (Obama's New Math)

My favorite quote of the day comes from the opinion section of the Wall Street Journal:

"To no one's surprise except perhaps Vice President Joe Biden's, second quarter economic growth was revised down yesterday to 1.6% from the prior estimate of 2.4%, which was down from first quarter growth of 3.7%, which was down from the 2009 fourth quarter's 5%. Economic recoveries are supposed to go in the other direction."

So we all remember the infamous "Alaskan Bridge to Nowhere?" Well how about the Recovery to Nowhere? That is how things seem to me. I love how Obama and his pals are spinning the current economic predicament as "it could have been so much worse". I am not sure about that. It is already pretty bad-10% unemployment and a GDP that is shrinking, with business skittish for investment.

Besides, since when do Americans, who live in the best country in the world, believe that things are good because they could have been so much worse. That is quite a fireside chat for you. Can you imagine FDR saying during the grim days of WWII, "My fellow Americans, yes Pearl Harbor was bad, but it could have been so much worse"?

I am totally with Jim Boehner, Fire them all I say! Let's start fresh, cause it can get so much worse!

Mooseburger Flavor

Sorry fellow meat lovers for my nearly year long sabbatical.

So much to talk about since my last post. So much good, delicious politics to devour!
Our dear and utterly unique capitalist economy is on the ropes and the tofu eating, Prius driving ObamaManiacs are gearing for that last blow.

Imagine my relief to see Ms. Palin rallying the troops in several primary races with wins in 5 out of 5. How the elite media has ignored the 'Sarah Palin' effect for the last year is becoming a scientific phenomenon. Love her or hate her, the moose hunter is electrifying and has a current batting average of .500. A-Rod eat your heart out.

Bacon versus Vegan? That is a no brainer. Bacon all the way baby!
And thank you Mr. Cow.
